The Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team. As Deputy Fire Chief, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Fire Chief in overseeing all aspects of fire department operations, including emergency response, fire prevention awareness, personnel training and management, and community engagement. This is a leadership position that requires strong managerial abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to public safety.
You will play a pivotal role in emergency response, providing on-scene command during critical situations. Additionally, you will fulfill the duties of a 24-hour duty officer on a rotational basis, ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies at any time.
As Deputy Fire Chief, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community of Edson, working tirelessly to uphold the highest standards of fire and emergency management services.

You embody a unique blend of leadership, expertise, and resilience essential to the efficient and effective operation of a fire department. With an unwavering commitment to public safety, you exemplify strong communication skills and are adept at coordinating firefighting personnel and other emergency responders. You have an extensive knowledge of fire prevention, suppression techniques, and emergency management protocols and can make swift, informed decisions in high-pressure situations. You are skilled at strategic planning and play a pivotal role in resource allocation, training initiatives, and community
outreach efforts. Moreover, you foster a culture of teamwork and professionalism, inspiring confidence and unity within the department, as well as the community.
