WUI Crew Member (WUIM)
A crew member is responsible for performing tactical assignments during the preimpingement, impingement and post-impingement phases. They must be proficient in engine operations and site preparation activities (i.e. sprinkler setup, pumps, hose deployment, and triage). The WUIM reports to a WUI Crew Boss (WUIB).
Reporting to the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Crew Boss, this grant funded position is responsible for WUI events. In the off season, employees will perform structure protection, fire suppression, rescue, dangerous goods control, fire service training, and fire prevention. This position will participate in Kananaskis Improvement District’s (KID) Health & Safety Program and operate in compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies, and Directives.

Vacation pay will be 4% on each paycheck as incurred and any vacation time taken will be
unpaid.
