NFPA 1021-2 Fire Officer Level 2

This course is available to members of recognized emergency services organizations. This course is being delivered over 6 months online with one (1) practical day on June 23, and the exam and practical evaluations on June 26th at the Kananaskis Emergency Services Centre.

Students will be required to purchase their own textbook: IFSTA Company Officer 6th Edition. The textbook is available from the Alberta Fire Chief’s Association bookstore.

Prerequisites: NFPA 1021 Level I Fire Officer for ProBoard and IFSAC certification.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve a seat in the course. Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within two weeks of the start date.

A schedule will be provided ahead of the January 10th start date; each chapter will commence approximately a month apart. This will require logging in, watching the lecture, and completing assignments each month.

These courses run from January 10, 2025 to June 26, 2025

In Memory Of Alvin “Al” Kilborn ~ Millet Fire Department

On December 30, 2024, Alvin “Al” Kilborn passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 86 years.

Al is survived by his loving family; wife, Louise; son Karl (Lana Beier) Kilborn and daughter, Tracy (Shaun) Springsteel; grandchildren, Darren Kaufman, Ashley Kilborn (Jamie Sayers), Amanda Kilborn (Dustin Lesiuk), Cameron, Sydney, Ryland and Jessica Springsteel; great-granddaughter, Shawna Sayers; brother, Bob (Beth) Kilborn as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.

Al was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Doris; siblings, Delma Howard, Audrey Hoey, Ron Kilborn, and Orlene Kubicek.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 4910 Northmount Drive, Wetaskiwin.  Interment to follow at the Millet Cemetery.
