Dear AFCA Members,

We are excited to announce that Drayton Bussiere, Fire Chief, Deputy Director of Emergency Management, Red Deer County has been elected as the new 1st Vice President of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association. Chief Bussiere has served on the AFCA Board of Directors for over six years. His dedication and vision have earned him this leadership role within our organization. Chief Bussiere’s term will commence effective immediately for a two year period expiring in 2026.

As we welcome Chief Bussiere to his new position, we also wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Chief Rob Evans for his outstanding service as the 1st Vice President over the past year. Chief Evans has played a crucial role in our achievements and set a high standard of leadership that we are confident will continue with Chief Bussiere.
