Chiefs, Friends, and Colleagues,
Planning for Northern Trek 2025 is well underway with sponsorships already coming in!
Like past years, I decided to challenge myself to raise funds for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation and raise awareness of the importance of mental and physical fitness in our industry.
Since starting this journey in 2018, Northern Trek has raised over $105,000 for the Foundation to help with their mission to HONOUR and REMEMBER our Fallen Brothers and Sisters, and to offer SUPPORT and programs to those left behind. This amazing milestone would not be possible without your support through sponsorships, donations, logistical supports, and the endless encouragements.
After a much-needed rest in 2024, Northern Trek 2025 is sure to be both a challenge and a success. Though the specific days for the trek remain to be determined (contingent of weather and supporting departments’ availability) it will be in August 2025. I will be revisiting a route that I did in 2019 which proved to be one of the most challenging of all Northern Trek routes. The municipality of Jasper was impacted by a vicious wildfire that not only destroyed a large portion of the community and National Park but also took the life of one of the wildland firefighters fighting it. In August, I will begin the Trek in Edson, AB, and end it in Jasper. A route full of beautiful, yet unforgiving terrain.
Once again, I ask for your financial support for the CFFF. To sponsor Northern Trek, I ask for a donation of $500 or more. 100% of the proceeds raised go directly towards the Foundation. Recognition of your contribution will be made on the Northern Trek Facebook page, mentioned at the beginning, or midway of one of the days of Northern Trek via Facebook video, and printed in the annual Courage magazine. Message me today to sponsor Northern Trek 2025, and feel free to challenge another organization to follow suit.
The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation provides support services for the families of fallen firefighters and honour our fallen at the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Ottawa at the Memorial Weekend in September. The CFFF operates solely on fundraising opportunities and donations.
Thank you for your continued support!
