FIRE INSPECTOR
The FIRE INSPECTOR administers and enforces the Safety Codes Act applicable to the fire discipline, relevant policies, procedures and legislation. Through managing priorities, the fire inspector is a key contributor to the achievement of the department’s operational deliverables.

Our fire inspection team ensures compliance with the Safety Codes Act, National Fire Code, and Leduc County’s Quality Management Plan by conducting thorough building inspections, identifying code infractions, and enforcing corrective actions. We review alternative solutions, verify compliance, investigate complaints, and oversee safety measures for storage tank systems. Additionally, we support fire prevention initiatives, assist the fire marshal with new construction and renovation plans, and provide guidance on fire codes. Maintaining accurate records, administering burn permits, and upholding occupational health and safety standards are key components of our work. Dedicated to safeguarding the community, we adhere to all relevant policies and assist in broader county operations as needed.
