The Town of Strathmore is seeking a Contract Fire Inspector to support the Strathmore Fire Department with inspection and code compliance services in 2025. This contract position is ideal for an incorporated business or sole proprietor with fire inspection expertise.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, site visits, and investigations to ensure compliance with the Safety Codes Act, National Fire Code, and Town of Strathmore QMP, as well as supporting the Fire Marshal in reviewing construction applications and fire safety plans.

Candidates must have a registered business, at least five years of fire service experience (including one year as an inspector), and certification as a Safety Codes Officer – Fire Discipline (Group B, Level 1). Strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and permitting software, and a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license are required.

Compensation is based on a fee-for-service model, with rate details available upon request.
