Please join us in congratulating Chief Randy Schroeder, President of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, on his appointment as Vice Chair of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, National Advisory Council!

The National Advisory Council (NAC) includes fire leadership from across the country, including provincial and territorial associations, the Canadian Council of Fire Marshal’s and Fire Commissioners, Aboriginal Firefighters Association of Canada, Department of National Defence, Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association, Canadian Metro Chiefs, and the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The NAC is required per the CAFC bylaws to ensure that the views of the fire sector are coordinated,and that when required, advise CAFC Board to provide credible, informed, inclusive, and robust advice on nationally or federally relevant issues and approaches.

Chief Schroeder’s dedication and passion for Alberta fire services will serve our province and the nation well at the highest level. We are proud to have such a strong advocate representing Alberta!
