Join the FIAA on June 12-13, 2025, in Nisku, Alberta, for an in-depth Fatal Fire Investigations course led by Dr. Elayne Pope, an expert in forensic anthropology and fire fatalities.

Day 1 features comprehensive presentations on how human bodies burn in various fire environments, covering myths, burn patterns, evidence handling, and investigation protocols. Day 2 offers live burn demonstrations, allowing participants to observe the progression of fire damage, forensic recovery techniques, and hands-on search and excavation activities.

Participants will gain critical knowledge in investigating fatal fire scenes and handling burned human remains, with practical tools for documenting and preserving evidence.

Earn 5 Alberta Safety Codes Council Continuing Education Credits.
