Firefighter Stair Climb Challenge

Firefighters take on massive physical strain as part of the job. But cancer brings a different kind of challenge.
The 2026 Firefighter Stair Climb Challenge supports Wellspring Alberta, a charitable organization providing over 70 free programs to help people living with cancer, their families and their caregivers navigate the emotional, social, and practical impacts of the disease. Everything Wellspring offers is provided at no cost. Join firefighters from across Alberta (and beyond) in climbing for a cause that directly supports the communities we serve.

Challenge the Chief — an opportunity to do the climb alongside Calgary Fire Chief Steve Dongworth and other community leaders across Alberta.
