Upcoming Electronic Election Process
The Alberta Fire Chiefs Association is excited to announce the commencement of our electronic election process starting Monday, March 9, 2026. This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing member engagement and ensuring a seamless voting experience. Members are encouraged to participate actively as we elect key positions including President, Vice Presidents, and Regional Directors. Eligibility Criteria for Voting and Nominations
To participate in the 2026 AFCA elections, members must meet specific eligibility requirements as outlined in our bylaws. Only Active Members and Life Members who previously held Active status are eligible to nominate and vote. While all members are informed of the election, only eligible voters will receive direct communication regarding voting procedures. Ensure your membership status is current to exercise your voting rights in this pivotal election.
Executive Positions for Election
President
The leader of the association, responsible for guiding strategic direction and representing the AFCA at official functions.
1st Vice President
Assists the President and steps in during their absence, playing a key role in organizational planning.
2nd Vice President
Supports the executive team and prepares to take on higher leadership roles within the association.
Director at Large – Rural
Represents rural interests within the association, ensuring their unique needs are addressed.
Regional Director – Region 2
Oversees activities and represents members in Region 2, facilitating communication and collaboration.
Regional Director – Region 4
Acts as a liaison for Region 4, promoting regional interests and participating in board discussions.
Regional Director – Region 6
Engages with members in Region 6, advocating for their concerns and contributing to strategic initiatives.

2nd Vice President Nominations
Nominations for the 2nd Vice President position commence, continuing the sequential election process.
April 1
Director at Large – Rural Nominations
