ICS Canada – Division/Group Supervisor
Parkland County Fire Services will be hosting an ICS Canada – Division/Group Supervisor course targeted towards chief fire officers and those intending to work in the role of Structure Protection Specialist (STPS 1, STPS 2) as defined in the Alberta Structure Protection Program Operational Guidelines (2018).
The purpose of the Division/Group Supervisor course is to provide emergency responders with an overview of key duties and responsibilities of a Division/Group Supervisor on a Type III all-hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT).
By the end of this course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Division/Group Supervisor on an AHIMT.
Students are expected to have a strong operational background in their specific discipline so that they are able to relate course material to their specific disciplines.
