Registration for the 2018 Alberta Fire Training conference is now open, and we are excited to welcome everyone who is ready for “leading tomorrow’s fire service.” Join us from October 18th-28th, 2018 for a range of speakers and topics, as well as hands-on training.
We are excited to present Dr. David Griffin as 2018’s Friday keynote speaker. Dr. Griffin was the engineer of the first-arriving engine to a furniture warehouse fire in Charleston, South Carolina that took the lives of nine firefighters. Join us at his Friday keynote address as he discusses research on organizational crisis and learning to improve following a crisis. Dr. Griffin will also be giving a half-day action program on Saturday on how to turn PTSD into Post-Traumatic Growth.
In addition to our Keynote, we are also proud to welcome speakers on topics such as modern fire attacks, unmanned aerial systems, overcoming complacency in fire services, and battery fires to name just a few. And if that isn’t enough, we also will have hands-on HOT training and a banquet and silent auction to round off your conference experience.
We hope you will take this opportunity to register early and guarantee your seat for both you and your teams. The topics are sure to enrich your knowledge of emergency response, and take them to the next level in leading tomorrow’s fire service.
