Live Fire Instructor Credential Program – Lamont County, AB
Join the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) from April 5-7, 2025, for the Live Fire Fixed Facility Instructor Credential Program hosted by Lamont County Emergency Services in Chipman, Alberta.
This unique three-day, hands-on academy focuses on the NFPA 1403 Standard on Live Fire Training and prepares instructors to safely lead live fire training exercises. Participants will engage in distance learning prior to the course and complete written and practical exams to earn their three-year credential.
Program Highlights:
- Instructor responsibilities in gas-fired and Class A fuel live fire structures
- Emergency planning and pre-burn plans
- Working with students in live fire conditions
- Safety officer and ignition officer duties
- Latest industry research on live fire conditions
Pre-requisites: Firefighter II & Instructor I credentials and at least one year of instructor experience.
Registration Fees:
- ISFSI Members: $575
- Non-Members: $725 (includes a one-year ISFSI membership)
Register by March 5, 2025, to avoid a late registration fee.
