DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the Whitecourt Fire Department has volunteered to host a meeting with Phil Rowe\, Assistant Fire Commissioner of the Community & Technical Support Branch\, the Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC) for our area on Tuesday\, February 6\, 2024\, at 10:00 am to discuss the following topics:\nCommunications/Role of the OFC\nFire Services profiles & database\nFire Reporting\nThe meeting will take place at the Whitecourt Fire Hall\, located at 5205 51 Street\, Whitecourt\, AB.  The meeting is expected to last for about two hours and will include a presentation from Phil Rowe\, followed by a Q&A session and a group discussion.\nIf you or members from your Fire Department/municipality are interested in attending this meeting\,\nplease RSVP by Friday\, January 26\, 2024 by emailing firedepartment@whitecourt.ca or calling us (780) 778-2342.\nPlease indicate the number of people from your department who will be attending\, and if you have any special needs or requests.\nWe hope to see you at the meeting and look forward to your feedback and suggestions.

DESCRIPTION:EMOTIONAL SURVIVAL ~ With Robert White \nThis presentation is designed to assist First Responders in developing behavioural strategies to inoculate against loss of idealism and inappropriate behaviour patterns. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 167th Session and remains actively involved in National Academy Associates continuing educational development and with the Arizona Chiefs of Police Association. \nHe holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Northern Arizona University. He is also a graduate of the Southwest Command College and the Arizona Regional Policing Institute. He has extensive experience instructing both law enforcement training sessions and at the University level in the area of management principles and customer service. \nWhite is a Leadership Development Instructor for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. In addition to his law enforcement experience\, he is a certified Fire Fighter. He has instructed on the topic of Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement and is an instructor on this topic with E-S Press\, Inc. He resides in Flagstaff\, Arizona. \n
