The AFCA regrets to inform our members that a strong leader in Alberta’s fire service died on Tuesday February 14, 2017.
A former Alberta Fire Commissioner and Fire Chief, Pat Graham was well known throughout the province. Having been Chief of the department in the former MD of Rocky View before moving into the Office of the Fire Commissioner, Pat continued to serve after retirement by guiding the Town of Cochrane through a period of restructuring in 2009 and serving as a consultant on a number of projects.
Isaac Comandante, Manager of Emergency and Response Consulting Services with BEHR, notified the AFCA of Pat’s death at the request of Pat’s wife, Ruthella.
Due to Pat and Ruthella Graham’s large family network, they have decided to have two services. Both dates will be held at the same place and time. The dates are as follows:
11:00 am February 17, 2017 High River Christian Reformed Church 450 Macleod Trail in High River
11:00 am February 23, 2017 High River Christian Reformed Church 450 Macleod Trail in High River
This venue is quite small so please arrive early if you require a seat. Fire service members are encouraged to attend in uniform. The Honour Guard and Piper have been arranged and there will be a last alarm ceremony.
